Hypnagogia is the state between wakefulness and dreaming; the body is unsure of where it is, and so-called “hypnagogic hallucinations” or lucid dreams occur. I’ve wanted to depict this state and this feeling, the sensation of floating and finding oneself in a kind of liminal space. The transition between wakefulness and sleep.
